This pleated filter uses an electrostatic charge to remove very fine particles from your air, as well as possible allergens like mold, pet dander, bacteria and viruses. A MERV 13 filter works up to 30 times more effectively and lasts 3 times longer than ordinary fiberglass filters. Also, it doesn’t allow mold, fungus, or mildew to grow. They are the highest MERV value shown to be safe for residential air conditioner systems and furnaces.
MERV 13 filters blocks 98% of pollutants from the air.
As specified by NAFA, to be labeled as MERV 13, a filter must successfully remove at least 90% of E3 particles, 85% of E2 particles, and 50% of E1 particles. This pleated filter traps particles as small as .3 microns, keeping dust, debris, lint, pollen, pet dander, smoke, smog, mold spores, bacteria, and microscopic allergens out of your space. It’s also the most efficient filter for larger particles. In standard dust tests that were conducted, our MERV 13 filters had a total particle arrestance of greater than 98%.
